I am tremendously grateful to all of my supporters, sponsors and the Miss WI Teen USA Pageant for this opportunity! I will use this platform to share three priorities. First, I’ve chosen higher education and bridging the achievement gap as two pillars because statistically, Wisconsin is nationally known to have the highest disparities in academic achievement for African American students. As a biracial student, I actively combat these disparities by participating in extracurricular activities, sports and clubs such as Student Government, Volleyball and Black Student Union. My actions and leadership serve to edify multiracial youth experiences through advocacy, representation, and collaborative participation. This is truly an honor!
